CF03 - Zubiri - Pamplona - 20 km
Itinerary
The Way goes by the access bridge to Zubiri and continues towards Osteriz road, which you will leave soon after passing by the factory. Go down to the right and then ascend towards Ilaraz. In front of a fountain, you will see a small road that leads to an old church. Leave this road turning right and continue to Esquíroz.
After this, you will take a path goes on the right border of a field, passes by a farm and gets to the road after crossing the bridge over the river Arga, 150 m away from Larrasoaña.
From San Nicolás Church, you will cross the bridge over the river Arga and then turn right on a paved road that leads to Aquerreta. From Aquerreta, a narrow path descends and then crosses a road. After this, you will get to a field and a small beech forest. Go down until you reach the left bank of river Arga and following its course you will get to Zuriáin, where you will cross the river.
Later on, you will get to the C-135 and keep walking on it for 500 m, and then you will leave it turning left to take the local road heading towards Ilurdoz. Cross Anchoriz Bridge and follow the lane located between Ilurdoz Mountain and the river Arga. Once you get to Iroz, you will cross the river Arga again and will get to the C-135, leaving it later on the right when you arrive to Zabaldica. From here, you have two options:
a) You can go up the mountain, passing by the transformers.
b) You can keep going on the mountain hillside, passing by Arleta workers’ house.
Both ways come together later, before a slope you will have to border. After this, cross the road N-121 (Pamplona – Irún) by a tunnel and continue parallel to it on a paved road that goes bordering Miravalles mountain and leads towards Basílica de la Trinidad de Arre (Villava), after crossinf the old bridge over the river Ulzama.
Once you are in Villava, you will continue on its Calle Mayor. At Casa Renault, you will turn right, crossing the road and continuing through Magdalena Borough. From here, you will enter Pamplona by Magdalena Bridge.
Keep bordering the wall going on a path and then cross it by Portal de Francia to get to the Cathedral. From there, you can pass by the streets of Curia, Mercaderes, Plaza Consistorial, Mayor and Bosquecillo, Vuelta del Castillo and, after crossing Sancho el Fuerte Avenue, keep going on Fuente del Hierro and the campus, to then cross the river Sadar and finally ascend to Cizur Menor.
