You will leave Casar de Cáceres heading towards Santiago Chapel. Follow the trail that leaves from the chapel to the right and goes on for some km, passing by Espino Stream and some milestones. Cross a gate and you will find two options to continue, but it is better to go straight on. Both alternatives lead again to the N-630, where you will cross the rivers Almonte and Tajo, having Alcántara Reservoir on the left. Later on, you will get to an inn; in front of it, a path leaves and connects with the causeway. Continue on it until you get to Cañaveral, after walking for 13 km between holm oaks and scrubs, crossing San Benito medieval bridge.
