From La Caridad, you will descend to cross a stream and then continue the journey towards Valdepares and El Franco. After this, you will cross the river Porcía, from where you have two options:

The first route follows the N-634, heading towards Tapia de Casariego and enters Galicia via Ribadeo.

The second itinerary turns left, leaving the road and passing by As Pontes del Cabilón, from where you will keep going towards Tol. In Tol, you have two options again to continue your pilgrimage:

a) You can keep going towards Figueras and join the previous route to get to Ribadeo.

b) You can continue to Castropol and then to Vegadeo. Or you can keep going to Lantoria and Vegadeo. From Vegadeo you must take the Royal Way via Santiago de Abres and continue via Santé and Trabadela towards Lourenzá, where you will join the Way again.
