Itinerary
Once you get out of the town centre, you have to continue on the AS-19 (Gijón-Avilés), until you get to Puente Seco, where you will leave the road and continue towards La Pedoña; after this, the Way used to go crossing the Cieu Bridge over the river Aboño, but nowadays this bridge no longer exists. Therefore, you will continue from Puente Seco on the road and will take the way towards Poago, on the second intersection to the left. After passing by the sugar factory of Veriña, you will get to an intersection with the railroad and you will go up the road and turn right, going through Poago workers’ house. From here, you will continue the ascent to Monte Areo and enter Carreño Council. You will pass by Ramos workers’ house and will go down to Santa Eulalia, leaving the church to the right, until you get to La Maquila, where you will leave the road and will take a path on the left.
The Way continues via Torre, passes by 200 m from Los Cuatro Curas Fountain, and descends between La Binada and San Juan a Tamón. Next to San Juan de Tamón Church, the way turns into road and goes towards Tabaza. In Tabaza, it connects with the N-632, which leads to Avilés.
After crossing the river Tabaza you will enter Gijón Avenue, finishing on the old road to Oviedo. In Avilés city centre, you will head towards the old Sabugo Borough.
