Baños de Montemayor
Baños de Montemayor is a town in Cáceres Province, in Extremadura. Even if it is quite a small town, it has two churches, since it used to be part of two different dioceses: Plasencia and Coria. The Silver Route indicated the limit between these two ecclesiastical divisions and Baños was crossed from North to South by this route. The one belonging to Coria, Santa María Church, is the one that still works as a church; the one from Plasencia, Santa Catalina, nowadays is used as Baños cultural concert hall.
Baths
The town has some of the most important Roman baths, which are the ones who give the name to Baños and are still being used. Baños is one of the main thermal centres in Extremadura.
