Itinerary
Following Rúa do Carmen, you will leave Arzúa, descending between fields and gardens to the As Barrosas oakwood, which you will leave on the left to come out to the N-547. Following this road a couple metres, you will eventually turn left, taking the footpath that ascends to Raído, on the other side of the river with the same name.
There, you will go back to the N-547, following it 400 m and leaving it later turning to the right, passing by villages like Cortobe, Pereiriña, Calzada, Calle and Ferreiros, and leading to Boavista. Finally, walking 1,5 km more on a footpath, you will get to Salceda, on the border of the N-547.
When you leave the town, you will take a way on the right leading to the road again, which you will leave later turning to the left on a path that leads to Brea, passing by Xen and Ras. There, you will cross the N-547 and half km after, you will leave it again.
Following the road 1 km, and once you get to Santa Irene Junction, you will turn right towards a path that crosses it again after 700 m, leading to Santa Irene, which you will depart by leaving the Santa Irene Hostel on the right side.
When you get to the sawmill, you will leave the path to cross the N-547 again and go down to Rçua and continue to Burgo. Passing by Burgo, 1 km on and next to the gas station, you will cross the road again to get to Arca. The Way passes by this town, bordering it and 3 km on it will lead you to Amenal, where you will cross the road again to go on a street that turns into a vegetal passage and leads to Cimadevila. Here, you will start going up a hill, leaving Lavacolla Airport on the left.
Two km after, you will get to the N-544 and descend, turning to the right on San Paio. Leaving San Paio and 1 km on, you will arrive at Lavacolla. From here, you will descend to the River Lavacolla, which crosses the road, and following a paved road, you will start ascending San Marcos Hill.
1,5 km after Lavacolla, and leaving behind the village called Vilamaior, the way passes by TVG and TVE headquarters. Soon after this, you enter San Marcos, located on Monte do Gozo, which has great sights of Santiago de Compostela.
From San Marcos chapel, and leaving behind Monte Do Gozo on the left, you will descend to the N-544 and enter San Lázaro Borough, seeing a San Lázaro Church on the left.
Next, the Way goes through Fontiñas area and keeps going on Barrio Dos Concheiros and Rúa San Pedro to Porta do Camiño. After crossing Porta do Camiño, you will follow Rúa das Casas Reais and das Animas, leading to Plaza Cervantes and, through Calle de la Azabachería, passing under Arco del Obispo, you will finally get to Plaza del Obradoiro.
